## Observation of Senses
Sense organs are which contact the world.
Here, in this document, I am taking a note of everything I notice while pondering over senses.
### 1. Sight
- Sight takes the most of the mind space.
- It takes good amount of attention and effort to synthesize and can only be experienced fully when processed in terms of text, shapes, colours and hierarchy.
- **IMP:** Creativity when expressed on screen or as sight, consumes a lot more mental energy to produce and that's where design and art should converge.
- You see design is more on the functionality and art is more inclined towards expression. Nailing a good visual which is positioned as a treat for the eyes, needs to be a blend of both to earn the worthy appreciations of the human eyes. Because who are you ultimately making it for? :)
- If what is expression to sound, like communication, and we want to express it visually, we need to make sure that the visuals we produce are understandable on a communicable level for people to understand. It can further have languages like with speaking, but should definitely abide by the norms to be accessible.
### 2. Hear
- Sound: Hearing or Listening is more spatial, it requires less cognition and can be processed subconsciously.
- Like music for example, it need not be processed fully, but it can be enjoyed and experienced subconsciously.
- It could also invoke emotions, bring delight or
- Hearing is also fluid, what I mean is, we not just hear sound, we also produce sound (to communicate) and engage others to it on a day to day level, its a gift.
### 3. Smell
- Smell is the most passive of all, its very subtle and leaves an impression.
- It's either pleasant, unpleasant or straight off transcendent.
### 4. Taste
- The most delightful of all, it savours the inner soul, keeps us fuelled for good.
- It dominates on emotional front and has an oscillatory effect which directly influences the mood, yum!
### 5. Touch
- The most taken for granted sense, often
- It gives us a knack of all: hot or cool, hard or soft, clicky or mushy, rough or smooth, and the list goes on.
