Mind appears in consciousness and consciousness is reflected in that appearance of mind, since the mind is nothing other than consciousness no duality is implied.
Shankracharya’s commentry on upanishad:
“Having projected that, brahman entered into it”
---
Brahman has projected this, this universe, then this whole universe is nothing but Brahman. It’s like the dream of brahman, in the dream who is there except you the dreamer, so if this whole universe is in Brahman, it’s only brahman. What else is meant by projected it and entered into it? What more entering has to be done?
See, eg. if you make a pot out of clay, so the clay is already there in the pot, the pot is made of clay.
If you make furniture out of wood so the furniture, the table and chair are already wood, what sense does it makes to say that the wood generated the furniture and then entered into it again, how?
---
*So the answer is:*
Yes, Brahman projected the entire universe.
And therefore the whole universe is nothing but brahman, because brahman has projected the universe, what else is there?
However, in this universe, there’s something called a body and a mind, in that mind brahman is reflected, as reflected consciousness and the individual sentiment being appears as jeeva, you, I right now, that is the meaning of brahman creating the world and entering into it again.
"Tat śhirstvā tadeva anupraviśatvā"
This explains what we are actually. We are not only brahman, but we are this brahman having projected and appearing as one thing in that projection, you.
