Tatva gyaana, enlightenment.
This vedanta will give you.
You study vedanta carefully, think about it, follow it carefully for sometime, it becomes evident. Because it’s your nature (This is true Abhishek btw, from your own experience) why will it not be evident.
Ignorance is covering it, ignorance is removed by this gyaana charcha (practice of knowledge).
Listening to the teachings, thinking about it, reasoning about it, a clarity will come.
That knowledge is there.
However.
We have a mind.
We have emotions, we have a life in the world, and this mind and body and emotions, they are mechanical, they are creatures of habit, they will continue to work the way they’ve been working all our life or lifetimes, unless we purify them through Sadhna.
It’s only the purified mind, the sensory system under control, which can express your enlightenment, which can give you the benefits of your enlightenment.
The way Sadhus put it is:
Gyaan toh ho gya, you will get realisation. You will get atleast a grasp on Vedanta, but you will deprive yourself of the great bliss of jeevan mukti.
You are going to let it go, no doubt about it, you’re the witness of it all, you’re not any of them, but before you let it go, clean it up. Clean up your lives, clean up the mind, subconscious, our external behaviour, let it be a moral life, a clean life, then your knowledge will shine forth, you will get the benefits, others will get the benefits.
Otherwise there will be a struggle. Even after understanding Vedanta.
Gist - Purification through Sadhna is really important.
